There are many opportunities to grow deeper in faith for young children here at St. Boniface. Please see the different offerings below for your child's age group to see what is available for them to grow in their love for Jesus and become a missionary disciple.
The Word of God has a message that is as relevant for children as it is for adults. Often children fail to hear the message because they’re unable to comprehend adult vocabulary. Children's Liturgy & Bible Story Time help children to hear the Scripture in words they understand and to share their own understanding.

Programs Available for Young Children

Children's Liturgy Ages 4-7The Children's Liturgy of the Word is for families with children ages 4-7 and is offered on Sundays at 8:30am & 10:30am Masses.
Children’s Liturgy at Mass is a worship experience geared especially for kids. It mirrors the worship experience of the larger community at Mass, with a style that is engaging and interactive. Jesus recognized that children have a pure spirituality, when he said, "Unless you become children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven" (Mt. 18:3), and acknowledged them as the primary spiritual model for all of us!
Children's Liturgy begins with the Introductory Rites of the Mass, with children seated in the larger assembly with their families. After the Opening Prayer, Father will invite children to come to the foot of the altar, receive a blessing, then move respectfully to the parish hall with their session leaders. Children return to their families after the Prayer of the Faithful and celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist and the rest of Mass with the entire community.

Children's Liturgy Ages 2-3When: Sunday mornings, during the 8:30am & 10:30am Masses, STARTING FALL of 2025
Children’s Liturgy for ages 2-3 is a simplified Children's Liturgy of the Word geared especially for toddlers. It mirrors the worship experience of the larger community at Mass, with a style that is engaging and interactive. When the older kids are dismissed for the regular Children's Liturgy, you may exit too with your little one to learn about basic Catholic practices in an age and developmentally appropriate way. We will learn things like the Sign of the Cross, how Jesus loves everyone, and how God helps those in need.

Summer Bible Story TimeFamilies are invited to Summer Bible Story Time starting June 26 on Thursdays at 10am in the Mary & Joseph room.
Each week, children ages 3-6 and their parents will discover a new Bible story in a fun, and age-appropriate way.
Families are invited to stay after for a self-paced, hands-on activity related to the story.

Safe Environment Requirements. All adult and teen leaders and assistants over the age of 14 are required to complete Diocesan safe environment guidelines. Please contact the Faith Formation Office for assistance with these requirements.
