Small Groups, Big Mission: Forming Disciples at St. Boniface
About 50 people gathered on June 4, 2025, for a session with Mitchell Narvasa of the Augustine Institute. We learned and discussed the importance of sharing our stories and meeting in small groups to build a community of joyful, missionary disciples.

Our presenter
As our parish continues to journey towards building a community of joyful disciples, deeply grounded in prayer, presence and proclamation, we have invited Mitchell Narvasa, parish success coach with the Augustine Institute.
Prior to his current role, Mitchell served as a parish formation leader and helped start up men's, women's, and marriage ministry groups. He has a BA in Theology and MA in Catechetics and Evangelization from Franciscan University.
Mitchell's suggested questions to consider
Are you interested in starting a small group? Is God tapping your shoulder to use your gifts to bring others closer to Him?
Are you currently leading a group? How do we keep our small communities from becoming stagnant and inward focused? How can our small group answer Jesus' great commission to teach, make disciples and evangelize?
Are you a parish ministry leader or volunteer? How can my participation in our parish vision for small groups help me bear more fruit in my ministry and as a follower of Jesus?
